Frequently asked questions
SteadyLife FAQ
A quick overview of how SteadyLife works, how the apps fit together, and what you can expect around privacy, pricing, and platforms.
-
What is SteadyLife?
SteadyLife is a family of small, focused apps that help you make better choices through gentle, consistent tracking – not guilt or constant nagging. Today that includes SipSteady, SmokeSteady, SpendSteady, MoveSteady, SteadyKids, and the upcoming SteadyHub. -
How are these apps meant to be used?
Each app is designed to be light-touch and honest. You log what actually happens – drinks, cigarettes, spending, movement, or kids’ tasks – and the app reflects that back to you in a calm, non-judgmental way. Over time, small adjustments add up. -
Do I need to use all of the apps?
Not at all. You can use any SteadyLife app on its own. Some people might only use SipSteady or SpendSteady; others might pair two or three. SteadyHub is being designed for people who want to see patterns across multiple apps in one place. -
What is SteadyHub and how will it work?
SteadyHub is the central hub for the SteadyLife suite. The idea is that if you use more than one app, SteadyHub can surface simple, helpful insights – for example, how your movement, spending, or sleep lines up with your drinking or smoking patterns – without turning your life into a spreadsheet. -
How does SteadyKids fit into SteadyLife?
SteadyKids is a shared responsibility and habit manager for parents and kids. The goal is to make chores and responsibilities feel more like a calm, predictable system and less like constant nagging, with a parent view and a kid view working together. -
Are these apps meant to be “all-or-nothing” or about strict abstinence?
No. SteadyLife apps are primarily about reducing, moderating, and becoming more aware – not enforcing perfection. If you’re working toward total abstinence from alcohol, nicotine, or anything else, you can absolutely use the apps that way, but the defaults are intentionally flexible and non-binary. -
What kind of data do you store, and how private is it?
The goal is to store as little as reasonably possible while still giving you useful insights. Right now, SteadyLife focuses on keeping your data tied to your device and using it only to show your own patterns back to you. For the most current details, please see the Privacy Policy. -
Will there be subscriptions or in-app purchases?
The current plan is to keep each app affordable and simple, with optional paid features where it makes sense. Pricing may evolve as the apps grow, but the intent is that SteadyLife always feels like good value, not a trap. -
Which platforms do you support?
The initial focus is on iPhone, with Apple Watch experiences where they make sense (for example, quick logging from your wrist). Other platforms may come later, depending on demand. -
Will there be an Android version?
Android support is on the long-term wishlist, but right now the focus is on getting the iOS experience right. If Android is important to you, you’re very welcome to reach out and say so – that feedback genuinely helps with prioritising the roadmap. -
Is SteadyLife meant to replace therapy or professional support?
No. SteadyLife is a set of tracking and reflection tools, not a medical or psychological service. If you’re struggling with addiction, mental health, or anything that feels big and heavy, professional support is important. These apps can complement that work, but they don’t replace it. -
How do I contact you if I still have questions?
You can visit the Support page for more details or email us directly at support@steadylife.app. We’re a small team, but we read every message.
